Biographical information

My journey into midwifery began long before I became a midwife. In 2005, while living in the United Kingdom, I began supporting women through pregnancy and birth as a birth partner in birth centres, alongside my work in pregnancy massage. At the same time, I was completing a BSc in Biology at the University of Edinburgh, where I focused on wildlife conservation. My fascination with nature and the intelligence of the physical world has remained a constant thread throughout my life. I later completed an LLM in Environmental Law at Newcastle University and spent a decade working in the UK.

In 2014, my curiosity about the body and the remarkable mechanisms of nature led me to midwifery. I trained at the University of West Attica. Over the years, my experience has strengthened the fundamental belief that respect should be at the heart of every midwifery or gynaecological experience. Every body is different, every pregnancy has its own story, and care should reflect the individual rather than follow a one-size-fits-all approach.

My practice is centered on close, personalised observation and evidence-based care. I believe in taking the time to understand what the body is communicating and, whenever possible, looking for the underlying causes of a difficulty rather than simply treating its symptoms. I am particularly mindful of unnecessary interventions and practices that are not supported by evidence and have a particular passion for home birth.

I am a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner. Before and during labour, I use a specialised programme of exercises and massage techniques designed both to provide relief and to help optimise the baby’s position for birth. I also specialise in pregnancy and postnatal massage.
