I’m an independent midwife, a founding member of the midwifery team Midwives for All, and a member of the association Spiti Thilasmou – Mother–Infant–Family.
I studied Midwifery at the University of West Attica. During my studies, I developed a strong belief in a model of midwifery that respects physiology, individual choices, and every person’s right to take an active role in decisions about their body and birth.
My desire to broaden my horizons and provide the best possible care as a midwife, led me to Lithuania, where I gained experience in the midwifery-led model of care at LSMU Kaunas Hospital. Upon returning to Greece, I worked for a year in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at IASO Hospital in Athens. My journey in supporting and caring for premature babies continues to this day through my involvement in “Prematuritas”, a program promoting breastfeeding for premature infants, in collaboration with Spiti Thilasmou and Ilitominon.
I continue to explore ways of providing care that respects each person’s wishes and choices, with an emphasis on individualized, informed care. As part of this journey, I also worked at Greece’s first independent Birth Center, an experience that further shaped the way I approach midwifery care.
My love for nature and freedom is an integral part of how I see life and, inevitably, how I practice midwifery. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me somewhere in nature, at a concert or the theater, with a book in my hands, or planning my next trip.
Today, I support women and their families throughout this journey: from pregnancy monitoring and preparation for birth to continuous support during labor and birth — whether at home or in hospital — as well as breastfeeding support and care throughout the postpartum period.
